Issues • Six Major Car parks Affected by the LUAS Construction and Operation. • Parnell Street Reduced from Four Lanes to Two. • Access Arrangement for Ilac needs to be in place. • New Egress arrangements from Jervis Street Car Parks and Imax Car parks needs to planned. • These Car Parks provide over 3,000 Car Spaces for Shoppers.

  3. College Green Removal of Lane to accommodate Luas Stop Shared running around Trinity College :- Operational issues

  4. Highest capacity Public Transport link in the Country • 400 Buses an Hour Peak • High numbers of Cyclists and Taxis • Very Busy at night time especially Weekends • Removal of one Lane during Construction. • Outside Bus Corridor Hours 2000 vehs Hour • Possible extension of Bus Corridor Hours

  5. Lr Grafton Street • Two Way LUAS Operation with one shared lane past the Provost House. • In Operation Public Transport only

  6. Nassau Street Dawson Street For Periods of Construction this is one way from Grafton Street to Dawson Street Only.

  7. Dawson Street During Construction number of Lanes reduced need to protect Buses. High Volume of Vehicles on Dawson Street going to Merrion Row or Westland Row.

  8. Kildare Street Stephens Green Introduce Two way running on Kildare Street.

  9. Westland Row Kildare Street

  10. Stephens Green North West Corner. Luas construction and operation will reduce lane capacity in half.

  11. LUAS Cross City • Roads & Traffic Department will bring forward Traffic Proposals as outlined over the next number of Months. • It is intended to put in place Traffic arrangements which will work both in the Construction and Operational Phases of Luas Cross City. • Access to car parks, provision for Public Transport and Cyclists will be a key priority. • Protect the retail and commercial activities along the route.
