  1. Math I was pleased with the results of our interim assessment of fractions and decimals. We’re not where we want to be yet, but we’re on our way! This week we will finish chapter 6 on adding & subtracting fractions and we plan on taking the test Wednesday. Thursday we hope to begin multiplying fractions in chapter 7. Reading We are still working on main idea, detail, summarizing, author’s purpose, and such –like skills in both informational and literary texts. We continue solving ‘cases’ by reading passages and responding. Spelling Our spelling words this week include the review words on the handout. Study the roots, prefixes, and suffixes of the words, along with reviewing the spelling. Announcements We have made some really good videos of the students teaching math skills, solving literary cases, and building words. Sometime in the future I hope to invite you in to watch. .
