  4. Role of the Garrison Commander The Garrison Commander acts as the principal agent for the commander in the coordination and approval of installation policies, plans, orders, instructions, procedures, and other communications.

  5. Organizations within the Garrison Staff • Directorate of Personnel and Community Activities (DPCA) • Inspector General (IG) • Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) • Public Affairs Office (PAO) • Directorate of Resource Management (DRM)

  6. Directorate of Personnel and Community Activities (DPCA) Advises the Commander and Staff on Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR), Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) administration, matters of educational services, and exercises supervision and coordination of miscellaneous activities and functions as assigned.

  7. DPCA • Resource Management Office • Community Activities Division • Family Support Division • Education Division • Alcohol and Drug Prevention and Control Program Division • Safety Division

  8. Inspector General (IG) The IG advises the Commander on the state of economy, discipline, morale, esprit de corps, management of readiness resources and leadership of the organization.

  10. Staff Judge Advocate (SJA) Special staff and legal advisor to the Commander. Provides legal services to Commanders staff and personnel of the installation.

  12. Public Affairs Office (PAO) The PAO has the dual responsibilities to provide Public Affairs support to the Garrison and Division. Advises the Commander and Staff on and conducts command information, media relations, and community relations on activities and programs

  14. Directorate of Resource Management (DRM) The principal staff officer for all installation resource issues (dollars, manpower and equipment) and management analysis studies and programs.
