  4. Getting Started: The Homepage • Visit www.open4community.info/eastriding • The homepage looks like this:

  5. The Registration Page • Once you start using the system, you will be asked to register via a simple registration form. • Registration is free and will allow you to access all areas of the East Riding 4 Community platform. • The registration form looks like this:

  6. Searching for Funding • You can search by Government, National Lottery or charitable trust funding. • The comprehensive search facility is designed to ensure that all users are able to source the funding opportunities relevant to them.

  7. Conducting a Funding Search • Click on ‘Search for Funding’ on the homepage to conduct a ‘Funding Search’. • ‘Funding Search’ searches are made by entering specific search criteria against a number of key questions.

  8. Conducting a Keyword Search • ‘Keyword’ searches are made by entering specific words or phrases in the keyword box. • This search method is good to use when you have a particular programme, funding provider or search term in mind

  9. Comprehensive Funding Results • Answering all of the questions on the Funding Search page will generate a results listing featuring funding programmes specifically relevant to that search. • For each, you will get a brief overview of the funding programme, allowing you to determine with ease whether that particular opportunity could be of interest.

Full Scheme Details at Your Fingertips • Full scheme details include: • an extended description; • key eligibility criteria; • details on application; • contact information; and • useful links and documents… • …providing you with a sound understanding of each programme, so that you can make an informed decision on proceeding with an application.

Additional Search Features and Resources • Options include: • Save Search – return to a particular search at any given time. • Save Selected Schemes – stay updated on programmes of interest. • Produce Report – create bespoke funding reports. • View Results By – view search results by ‘best match’, deadline, maximum value, funding body, etc.

  12. Additional Search Methods: Browsing • You can also browse for funding in three key areas: Government, Trust and National Lottery funding. • This allows you to drill down easily between the different fields:

  13. Saved Searches and Schemes • You never have to conduct the same search twice. Saving time and resource, you can save both searches and individual programmes and view them at a later date in ‘My Favourites’. • Tailored email alerts can be set to inform you when a search or programme has been updated or if a new one is added to the site, meaning you never miss out on a funding opportunity!

  14. Producing Tailored Reports • Users are able to produce bespoke reports by simply selecting any funding opportunities of interest and clicking ‘Produce report’.

  15. Using Tailored Funding Reports • The reports are opened in Word format and contain the full scheme details of all of the funding opportunities selected. • They can be saved, printed, emailed and circulated as required.

Sourcing Local Support • The Local Support Section provides information on funding available for the East Riding of Yorkshire area. • You can also view local advice and fact sheets as well as a calendar of local events, a list of local support organisations and access to local strategies and policies.
