Diamond • Diamond (allotropic form of carbon) has extreme properties; the highest known thermal conductivity, biocompatibility, high electric resistance (with possibility of doping which makes diamond the semiconductor material), high chemical inertness (but also bioactivity), antibacterial properties, good mechanical and optical properties and many others. This makes diamond an interesting material for different applications.
