PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS • Danube River: • 1,770 miles long • Starts in Germany • Enters the Black Sea in Romania • Aral Sea • Two rivers that feed into the Aral Sea • Shrinking due to much irrigation and drought • Lake Baikal: • Largest & deepest lakein the world • 20% of the world’s fresh water • Badly polluted
