DESCRIPTION

Join us for the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Science (PJAS) Fair on February 22, 2014, at Bensalem High School from 8 AM to 12 PM. Bring a PDF of your PowerPoint presentation and wear nice attire. Remember to submit an electronic copy of your presentation one week prior, and be prepared for a 10-minute rehearsal. Participation in project review on February 5 is mandatory. Also, mark your calendars for the Bucks County Science Fair from March 10-12 at Delaware Valley College, where your completed project will be judged by interview. Be ready!

  2. PJAS: Pennsylvania Academy of Science When: Saturday, February 22nd Where: Bensalem High School Time: 8 am – 12 pm What to bring: a copy of your presentation in Power Point but saved as a PDF What to wear: nice shirt and slacks/skirt

PJAS, other stuff • I MUST have an ecopy (saved as a PDF) of your presentation sent to me ONE WEEK PRIOR to the fair, NOT the day before • Your project does not need to be complete at the time of the fair • Your presentation must be well rehearsed and not exceed 10 minutes • DO NOT put the name of your school on your cover slide

  4. PJAS, other stuff • Mandatory participation on Wednesday, February 5th at South for project review • You will asked to report for ½ hour between 4 and 6 pm – watch your email • You will be emailed a copy of a judging rubric – please make three copies and bring to the fair that day – watch your email!!!

  5. Bucks County Science Fair • Registration: Jaxon, Kai, Alison, Karyn • When: 3/10 – set up; 3/11 – judging; 3/12 – awards night • Where: Delaware Valley College • What to bring: trifold board, 6 copies of your abstract, marble composition book where you are recording your observations, research paper • Time: Leave at 11; back by 3 – CR South bus to, parents pick up at TBD • What to wear: Same as PJAS

  6. BCSF, other stuff • Your project MUST be completed by the fair • There is no presentation; you will be interviewed by several judges about your project
