  7. The problem of pride • Have a harder life – in trouble because of pride Haughtiness goes before destruction; humility precedes honor. Prov 18:12 The eye that mocks a father and despises a mother's instructions will be plucked out by ravens of the valley and eaten by vultures. Prov 30:17 • Has your life been full of trouble?

  8. The problem of pride • Stir up trouble Throw out the mocker, and fighting goes, too. Quarrels and insults will disappear. Prov 22:10 Mockers can get a whole town agitated, but the wise will calm anger. Prov 29:8 • Does drama seem to surround you?

The problem of pride • Don’t accept advice or correction Anyone who rebukes a mocker will get an insult in return.Anyone who corrects the wicked will get hurt.So don’t bother correcting mockers; they will only hate you.But correct the wise, and they will love you. Prov 9:7-8 • How do you react when people tell you that you are wrong?

  10. The problem of pride • Don’t make up for their wrongs Fools make fun of guilt, but the godly acknowledge it and seek reconciliation. Prov 14:9 • Do you frequently admit when you are wrong? Are you willing to take the time to fix your problems?

  11. The cure for Pride My child, listen when your father corrects you.Don’t neglect your mother’s instruction.What you learn from them will crown you with graceand be a chain of honor around your neck.Proverbs 1:8-9 Make it the #1 goal of your life to follow God – being wise in all you do.
