  3. Approval of Minutes • Approval of the Work Session Minutes of August, 13, 2013. • Approval of the Regular Session Minutes of August 27, 2013. • Approval of the Traffic Group Meeting Minutes for July 18, 2013. • Approval of the Administrative Session Minutes of August 27, 2013.

  5. Orders • Order accepting the bid of Ritter & Paratore Contracting, Inc. for the Memorial Hospital Demolition Project (19-12-M) in the estimated unit price of $1,474,900.00.

  6. Orders Order accepting the final negotiated bid of Vacation Landscapes, Inc. for the “Fall 2013 Street Trees” project (16-13-M) in the estimated unit price amount of $38,985.00. Original Bid: $77,120.00

  7. Orders • Order accepting the proposals of Brabson & Sons Demolition for: • 534-536 Columbia Ave. ($5,900) • 478-480 Baltimore Ave.($10,200) • 8 Oldtown Rd. ($6,800) • and Miller Trucking & Excavating • 319-321 Columbia St. ($8,000).

  8. Orders • Order authorizing an amendment to the contract with Mackin Engineers for the “Canal Place Heritage Areas Management Plan Update,” to authorize an extension of the contract time through January 31, 2014, with no change to the contract amount. • August 16, 2011 – approved for execution ($204,442.67) • Funded with local, state, and federal monies • January 29, 2013 – approved extension through Oct. 31, 2013 Asking for additional 3 months to allow time for additional data collection and to attend meetings with communities in the expanded heritage area.

Orders Order authorizing the execution of a Service Cooperative Membership Agreement with the National Joint Power Alliance (NJPA) to allow for the City’s participation in the NJPA contracts and procurement programs. - No cost to the City - Competitive bidding process is satisfied - Offers discounted procurement opportunities

  10. Orders • Order authorizing the Chief of Police to accept a MD Highway Safety Office Grant for FY14 in the amount of $7,300 to be used for police overtime concentrating on DUI and seat belt enforcement.

  11. Orders • Order authorizing a residential exemption from the Special Taxing District levy for the 2013-2014 tax year for property located at: • 50 N. Centre Street - $232.11 • 43 N. Centre Street - $174.19

  12. Orders • Order authorizing the abatement of taxes and utilities due and owing for City-owned property located at 321 Columbia Street. • Taxes: • 2008 - $318.81 • 2009 - $295.14 • 2010 - $269.19 • 2011 - $239.95 • 2012 - $173.58 • TOTAL $1,296.67
