  3. Reading/Language Arts • Every child gets 150 minutes a day • 30 minutes of Word Study Grammar, Vocabulary, Test Strategies • 60 minutes of Reading • 60 minutes of Writing Reading STAAR Test

  4. Math andScience • Journals • Laboratory Investigations • Math Homework • IXL

  5. Grading Policy • A = 90 – 100 • B = 80 – 89 • C = 75 – 79 • D = 70 – 74 • 69 & below is failing per the handbook • 10 points can be deducted for each day late • Extra credit can be given at teacher discretion • Refer to BISD Student Handbook for further information

  7. Safety Patrol • Demonstration of Lakewood Tiger Traits • To protect and aid other students • To foster leadership and good citizenship.
