Without Scissor Lift Licence, the operator will not be entertained at Workplace. • The valid Scissor Lift Licence ensures proper safety of the workplace property as well as workmen. With a valid licence the operator can check the proper functionality of the scissor lift. In order to get a valid licenceone has to complete the Scissor Lift Training Course from a RTO (Recognised Training Organisation) This licence is also known as a Yellow Card for Boom Lift Scissor Lift.
How to Get a Scissor Lift Licence? • To get a Scissor Lift Licence, one need to learn skills and functionality to operate Scissor Lift. And for that he/she should enroll under the Scissor Lift Training Program. • The total duration of the course is 1 day and the fees is AUD 300. • The training and assessment for the curse will be conducted on the same day either at the RTO’s Centre or any other place meeting the certain requirements. • If the candidate will pass the assessment, he/she will be eligible to apply for the scissor lift licence.
What is the eligibility criteria to get a Scissor Lift Licence? In order to apply for the Scissor Lift Licence NSW, the candidate must of age 14 years and 9 months. The candidate should be able to speak, write and understand the English Language. The candidate should be able to produce 100 points of identification during the training as per NSW WorkSafe requirements. For getting a valid licence the candidate must be able to pass the required assessment and training.
Learning Outcomes of the Course • On successful completion of the Scissor Lift Training Course, the candidate will be able to perform following operations: • 1. He will be able to plan operations for the specific task related to the Scissor Lift. • 2. He has better understanding about the different operational factors like heights, loads, measurements etc. • 3. He will be able to lift the loads as well as workmen to certain heights. • 4. After passing the assessment, the candidate will be well known to the various technical functionalities of the Scissor Lift.
How to Renew the Scissor Lift Licence? • The Scissor Lift Licence will be valid for a particular time period. After that the candidate need to apply for the renewal of the licnece. • For renewal, the candidate have to fill a renewal form along with the required specifications like identification documents, passport photos and a copy of existing Scissor Lift Licence. • After filling the required document, the candidate have to submit the documents to nearby post office.
