  2. SAFETY MEASURES OBJECTS OF AFFECTION OR LIFELINES? PROTECTIVE GEAR HELMET TECHNOLOGY RIDER TRAINING/EDUCATION Which measure is most important in reducing rider injury and death rates? Lior Bar-David | Thesis I: Proposal | Manu/Mahler

  3. SAFETY MEASURES OBJECTS OF AFFECTION OR LIFELINES? PROTECTIVE GEAR HELMET TECHNOLOGY RIDER TRAINING/EDUCATION ALLAREIMPORTANT Which measure is most important in reducing rider injury and death rates? Lior Bar-David | Thesis I: Proposal | Manu/Mahler

  4. MOTORCYCLE SAFETY? ILLUSION OR FACT

  5. MOTORCYCLE SAFETY WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW “So you want to ride a motorcycle… and not die” Motorcyclesafety, two words that come-off as an oxymoron when placed together. But the rider of this bike survivedwith minor burns, a fractured collar bone and minor bruising. It wasn’t a miracle or dumb-luck that saved his life; his survival was made possible thanks toprotective gear and the intelligenceto use it. Lior Bar-David | Thesis I: Proposal | Manu/Mahler

  6. THE FACTS OF LIFE THESIS OBJECTIVES To transform common negative perceptions and fearful attitudes associated with motorcycles and motorcycle safety. Through the exploration, development and ultimately the execution of new assistive technology that accrete rider awareness. 8. A BREAK IN THE CHAIN TO EDUCATE OR NOT TO EDUCATE? MONASH University in Victoria, Australia has done extensive research on motorcycle safety and equipment. They concluded in one case study that there was no reduction in the accident rates based on: riders who took a riders’ training course and those riders who did not. Interestingly enough, riders who took a training course were more likely to wear protective gear than riders who did not. So, do riders’ training courses make better drivers? The Insurance Bureau of Canada seems to think so. Offering better rates to riders who complete a certified training course. Do you see the break in the chain?
