Meeting with Mayor to discuss installation of pipeline • Alcalde (Mayor) Ingeniero Romeo Jose Barillas (alcaldiaopico@yahoo.com, 2331-3001) • Travelled to Alcaldia (Mayor’s office) with Alfredo Torres (member of LD ADESCO) on Tuesday June 12, 2012) • Got on waiting list at 8:30 & met with Mayor at 10:45 • Requested help digging trench and installing PVC tubing. Alfredo had official letter from ADESCO • Mayor knew about project (had been contacted by Ana Maria de Keene – honorary consul of El Salvador in Philadelphia) and agreed to help with everything including supplying the 4” (supply) and 2” (distribution) pipes. • Questions from mayor: • Is 160 PSI PVC acceptable? • Do you want cemented PVC or rapid connection? • Will send an engineer to evaluate poject. • Other questions (from RAC) • Location of valve boxes, air bleeds, T’s, cleanouts • Should prepare detailed plan to send to mayor ASAP
