  4. Who built Big Ben Tower • Charles Barry built the Big Ben Tower. The Big Ben Tower was named after the bell “Great Bell”. Changes in the ground caused the tower to lean to the north-west approximately 220 millimeters. It also weighs 13.5 tons.

  5. Why the Big Ben Tower was built • The tower of Westminster was destroyed and in 1844 the parliament decided that the new buildings for the parliament should have a clock tower.

  6. Total cost of building the big Ben Tower • The total cost of building the Big Ben Tower was 2401 shillings.
