  1. Symptoms of High Blood Pressure People frequently mix up blood pressure and heart rate and use them interchangeably. This leads to medication misuse during self-diagnosis. Blood pressure is defined as the pressure that blood exerts on the walls of blood vessels. Blood vessels are circulatory system components that help circulate blood to various parts of the body. The body has two main circulation pathways through which blood is carried from the heart to other parts of the body through the arteries and back to the heart for purification through the veins. Blood pressure refers to the amount of blood carried by blood vessels in the arteries only. Blood pressure fluctuates at random intervals throughout the day, which is a common occurrence. The blood pressure is measured with a B.P. monitor or a Sphygmometer, which measures the pressure in two parts: systole and diastole. The Systolic number measures artery pressure when the heart beats, while the Diastolic number measures artery pressure when the heart rests between beats. The normal blood pressure range is 120/80 mmHg. Blood pressure is typically measured between 90/60mmHg and 130/80mmHg. If the blood pressure falls below 90/60mmHg, the patient is said to have low blood pressure, which is referred to as hypotension. Patients with blood pressure readings greater than 140/90 mmHg are said to have high blood pressure, also known as hypertension. Both of these situations are harmful to the patient, and appropriate treatment must be provided. There are risks that come with both high B.P. (Hypertension) and with Low B.P (Hypotension). Hypertension Above 130/90 mmHg reading Symptoms – Discomfort, sweating, chest pain, headaches. Could lead to kidney failure if not diagnosed early. Hypotension Below 90/60mmHg Symptoms – Fainting, Dizziness, Light- headedness, weakness, Fatigue Could lead to a state of shock and lack of breath. It is critical to detect high blood pressure early on so that we can look for alternatives to medication. However, with more than 50% of people worldwide suffering from uncontrolled blood pressure, it has become common practice to
