  1. FOOD Mushy peas, pub grub, and TOAD IN THE HOLE! It's a yummy food that is sort of artsy. It's sausage with batter on top! Bangers and mash is two sausages with mashed potato and gravy on top. Ploughman's lunch is cheese with relish, bread and butter, and often half an apple or a hard-boiled egg or some beetroot The Ploughman's Lunch is sort of boring and unappetizing, so the British chose to make it a cultural signal of England. It became really famous, and a movie was made called THE PLOUGHMAN'S LUNCH. Sunday roast is roasted meat and potatoes The meat can be, usually, beef, chicken, lamb, or pork. But during certain seasons, duc k, goose, gammon, and turkey are used. Sides are roast vegetables. Fish and chips are really popular. English muffins are quite welcome also. Beer is warm in London, and the English drink lots of it! HP sauce is commonly used for foods.
