Young Entrepeneurship in Østfold

Østfold County Council is committed to fostering youth entrepreneurship through effective partnerships with schools. In 2010, 14,390 students participated in various Youth Entrepreneurship (YE) programs, with 307 YE companies at primary schools and 120 at upper secondary schools. These initiatives encourage students to become entrepreneurs, enhancing creativity and practical knowledge of working life, law, and agreements. Examples like Emma LC and "Båtens Verden" showcase the success of these programs, emphasizing the essential collaboration between education and business for a vibrant future.

Facts • 14,390 students in various Youth Entrepreneurship (YE) programs in 2010 • 28.9% of the population aged 6 - 19 years • 307 YE companies at primary school • 120 YE companies at upper secondary school • 3 YE companies at the University College in Østfold • YE programs at all 11 secondary schools in Østfold
