Language Arts Agenda for October 9, 2012: Writing and Portfolio Review

On October 9, 2012, in Language Arts class, students will retrieve their notebooks and Sandwich Chart worksheets while opening their ticket container. Homework will be noted in the agenda, followed by a writing warm-up using the prompt: "What does it mean to be a good sport? What does it mean to be a sore loser?" Students will compose five sentences using their Sandwich Chart. The class will also involve portfolio checks where past work is reviewed and corrections made to improve grades. Students may seek assistance from Mrs. “B” or Mrs. “G”.

Agenda for Oct. 9, 2012 • 1st: Retrievenotebook, worksheet: Sandwich Chart, and open ticket container. • 2nd: Write HW in Agenda: • Worksheet • 3rd: Begin Writing Warm-up Date: 10-9-12 Prompt: What does it mean to be a “good sport”? What does it mean to be a “sore loser”(5 sentences: use your Sandwich Chart worksheet, instead of notebook paper today.)

  2. L. A., 4th Period, Oct. 9, 2012 • Writing prompt warm-up. • Hand out past work to put in portfolios. Let students take a look and make necessary corrections. See Mrs. “B” or Mrs. “G’’ for assistance. Grades will be averaged according to corrections made. • Read aloud.
