In this session, we will explore how Copernicus transformed the field of astronomy by proposing a heliocentric model of the solar system. We'll also delve into Kepler's Laws of planetary motion, which further advanced our understanding of celestial mechanics. Students will engage in discussions with their partners to prepare for upcoming projects and presentations due on Thursday, Oct. 31 and Friday, Nov. 1. Please review notes on Copernicus and Kepler, and tackle the assigned conceptual problems to reinforce your understanding.
