This project aims to support normal birth and reduce Cesarean section rates for nulliparous women through regional innovations. By developing a regional database, addressing Group 1 and Group 5 using extended Robson groups, and providing standard information at the VBAC Clinic, the project seeks to equip staff with evidence-based advice and increase confidence among professionals. The initiative includes debrief sessions, patient satisfaction surveys, and visual material like an ECV information DVD. Successful filming of ECV procedures and positive feedback from parents and healthcare providers contribute to the project's goal of normalizing the birth environment. The Normalising Birth Team at MTW NHS Trust spearheads this effort led by Consultant Obstetrician Leila Frodsham, with facilitators Lynne Thomas and Lisa Massey.
