  1. How to Build a Habitat Garden By Aidan, Dash, and Oliver

  2. Step 1 Find an area with a size suitable for your habitat garden. Make sure it has enough room to fit all of the native plants you want.

  3. Step 2 Research the native wildlife and remove all of the invasive plants from the area, this could include Dwarf Periwinkle or English Ivy. SNIP!

  4. Step 3 Buy plants and other materials necessary for your habitat garden. • Seeds/Pre-grown plants • Décor (fountains, statues, etc.) • Animal features (bird baths, bird houses, bird feeders, etc.) • Fertilizer

  5. STEP 5 Wait for all of the plants to grow and the animals to move in to the habitat garden, don’t forget to water regularly. THIS STEP MAY TAKE SEVERAL WEEKS.

  6. Step 4 Plant plants, décor, and pathways (optional)

  7. Step 6 Create a garden plan to keep track of gardening, watering, and other tasks.

  8. Step 7 Keep notes of what your habitat garden is doing, like what animals are coming to your garden.
