Sydnie Ozanus Early High School Graduate and Pre-Med Student

Sydnie Ozanus was raised by her mother in Little Elm, Texas. When she was younger, her grandmother was killed in a safari truck accident in Africa. She and her grandfather made a trip back to the African savannah to bury her grandmother’s ashes in a place that had meant so much to her in life. Ozanus was profoundly changed by the trip and it helped her decide to become a doctor.

  1. Sydnie Ozanus Early High School Graduate and Pre-Med Student Sydnie Ozanus is a highly intelligent and capable student. She graduated a year early from Prosper High School in Prosper, Texas in 2015. She then enrolled in the Pre-Medical program at Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. After her first year in the program, her GPA stands at 3.4. Being a year younger than most other college freshmen was a challenge for Ozanus at first, but she has quickly adapted to the new environment and succeeded.

  2. Sydnie Ozanus Decorated Young Academic Sydnie Ozanus was a high achiever in high school in Prosper, Texas. She graduated from Prosper High School a year early, in 2015, after earning the Heart of an Eagle Award and the Career Prep Student of the Year award. She was also a National Academy of Future Positions and Medical Scientists Award of Excellence nominee. Ozanus is now a Pre-Med student at Texas Tech University.

  3. Sydnie Ozanus Interest in Dance Sydnie Ozanus has always been interested in dancing since she was a young child. Her mother enrolled her in many dance classes during her young life, and Ozanus took a particular interest in ballet for many years before she graduated from Prosper High School a year early and started attending Texas Tech University in 2015. She is enrolled in the Pre-medical program there.

  4. Sydnie Ozanus Community Activities Sydnie Ozanus has participated in many community activities in her young life. Ozanus participated in a mission trip as a member of the Prestonwood Baptist Church. She worked in two separate cancer cure and awareness events, including the Susan G. Komen Walk for the Cure and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Big D Climb.
