  4. Three Phases of Menstruation • Follicular phase (pre-ovulatory phase) • Ovulation • The luteal phase (post-ovulatory phase). • The average Menstrual Cycle lasts 28 days • Menstrual Cycles are counted from the first day of menstrual bleeding.

UTIs • Bacterial infection within urinary tract • Women are most suceptible • Causes: bacteria around rectal area, sexual intercourse, holding in urine too long • Symptoms: burning sensation during urination, frequent urinating, blood in urine • Prevention: drink plenty of clean H2O, wiping front back, clean genital area before AND after intercourse
