  3. The Classroom Has Left the Building - Teaching Beyond Physical Walls • By giving students access to rich multimedia, primary resources, and the ability to learn outside of the walls of the building.

  4. How do you make sense of all the data and information to make sound decisions? • Technology is integrated into everyday classroom management, from taking attendance, to seating charts, to producing reports on student progress, to creating and maintaining homework assignments.

  5. Creating Lifelong Learners • By giving students access to powerful learning tools, we teach them not only valuable life skills, but an appreciation for taking control of their own learning.

  6. Learning Applications • Computer Applications support the curriculum and help students become better thinkers. • Internet sites provide resources for classroom use. • Outlook email - keep in touch with colleagues, parents, etc.

  7. Computer Applications in the Curriculum The class will form small book groups and after reading and testing using AR, they will meet to discuss the finer points of the book. Keep records of the books on an Excel spreadsheet and record the Title, Author and the group’s summarized opinion. The class will choose some favorites from the list and publish a summarized version using EZbook.

  8. Design a learning experience Graphers: The class will take a food survey and create a graph comparing the class’s favorites. Millie’s Math House - Explore the concepts of small, medium and large then collect and categorize objects of different sizes.
