Natural Resources!! • Russia accounts for around 20 percent of the world's production of oil and natural gas and possesses large reserves of both fuels. • Russia possesses reserves of iron ore, manganese, chromium, nickel, platinum, titanium, copper, tin, lead, tungsten, diamonds, phosphates, and gold, and the forests of Siberia contain an estimated one-fifth of the world's timber, mainly conifers.

  4. Natural Disasters!!  • Russia is also a greatly affected by natural disasters. • It is mostly affected by: • Earthquakes • Floods • Wildfires • Tornadoes

  5. Mountains!! • The Ural Mountains. A range of Western Russia forming the traditional boundary between Europe and Asia.

  6. Oceans! • Russia has the Arctic Ocean to the north and the Pacific Ocean to the east.

  7. Volcanoes! • Volcanoes in Russia!

  8. Facts About Russia!! • Capital: Moscow • Official language: Russian • Currency: Russian ruble • Location: Europe, Asia • As of January 2009, Russia's population was 141 million!

  10. Would I Live There? • I would not live there. Its just to far away. I’d much rather just stay in America. • The only reason why I would consider living there s because Russia seems so pretty!

  11. If I Were President! • I think the main thing I would do is make everybody learn to speak English.
