  4. Recommendation I recommend this book because it is the sequel to the red pyramid and it teaches you more about the Egyptian gods.

  5. summary In the beginning Carter, Sadie, and their pet baboon named Khufu break into a museum to steal an ancient Egyptian artifact. When they find it they unleash a huge monster and the artifact catches on fire! When they get home they realize that the artifact survived. Later Sadie visits her grandparents only to discover that they have been taken over by Egyptian gods! Carter and Sadie then begin their quest.

  6. Summary In the middle Carter and Sadie meet their cat Bast’s friend Bes who helps them with their quest. Carter and Sadie then find the last two artifacts they need to awaken the sun god Ra. They then venture into the underworld.

  7. summary In the end Carter and Sadie awaken Ra save the world from Apophis the god of choas and disorder, but they also learn that their friend Walt is cursed.

  8. What was your favorite part of the book? My favorite part of the book was when Ra gave Zia a scarab beetle and told Carter and Sadie that Walt is sick.

  9. What questions would you ask the character if you could talk to them? I would ask the character if they wished they had not gone on this quest at all.
