Warm-up (independent, level 0 noise): You have 20 feet of fencing and you want to build a dog kennel that is a perfect square. What will the side lengths be? Please complete this in your journal below the CQ

  2. Vocabulary words • Discuss the following math vocabulary with your group for 2 minutes. What does each word mean and how can we evaluate it? • Side length • Perimeter • Area • Perfect square

  3. Our Dog Kennel Side length = 5 ft. Perimeter = 20 ft. Area = 25 ft² Perfect square = Yes!!
