The Fab Five, a groundbreaking group of five African American freshmen at the University of Michigan, transformed college basketball in the early 1990s. Comprising Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Jimmy King, Juwan Howard, and Ray Jackson, they reached the national championship game in both 1991 and 1992. Despite their talent, the dynamics within the team were complex, marked by conflicts and differing personalities. Analyzing Tuckman's stages of group development shows their journey through forming, storming, performing, and ultimately adjourning, culminating in moments of brilliance overshadowed by challenges.
