  2. Mission • You are on a mission to find out who has the best meal deal from either Mom’s Café in Justin, TX or Dove Creek Café in Roanoke, TX • You can only spend a maximum of $15.00

  4. Place Your Order Make a list of the items you want to order. It must include: • 1 appetizer or side dish • 1 entrée • 1 drink • 1 dessert

  5. Who Has the Best Prices? • The items you pick from each restaurant must be similar to each other so you can make a cost comparison in the end

  6. Discount • Once you have picked out your items, you need to pick out onecoupon to apply to your total costs for Mom’s Cafe. Then choose a different coupon to apply to your total costs for Dove Creek Café. • Remember: You want to make it the best deal with each restaurant. • Find your new total cost.

  8. Tax • Once you have found your cost for each bill after the discount, apply a tax rate of 8.25%. • Find your new total for each bill. • Who has a better deal? Why?

  9. Tip • Using the original cost of your bill, (the cost before adding tax), you will need to find a 15% tip based on each bill. • Describe the process you use to figure out the tip. What is the tip amount for each restaurant?

  10. Presentation • You will present your information by either making a poster (full sheet of construction paper) or power point displaying all required elements
