Enhancing Academic Integrity: Librarians’ Strategies and Student Perspectives

This study explores the experiences and perspectives of students regarding academic integrity at Belmont University and The American University in Cairo. With interviews conducted across multiple grades and majors, the focus is on why students cheat, themes of plagiarism, and the influence of high school on their academic behavior. The research underscores the critical role of librarians in integrating academic integrity into information literacy instruction, collaborating with faculty to enhance assignments, and outreach efforts to high school students.
