These “long list” opportunities must be evaluated to develop a “short list.” Examples of “Long List” Opportunities Scoring Approach “Short List” • Create strong Internet presence for Ag in the Classroom, integrate with TV show, class materials, other media • Virtual trade shows • Kiosks available in USDA service centers with live chat capabilities • Provide training to business partners on how to use new eGovernment features and applications • Extranets for partners with data exchange capabilities • Portals for state and local governments to access data and links related to programs they help administer • Create integrated, standard Department-wide data collection and reports tool to eliminate redundant reporting • Enhance employee directory to include searchable information on skillset, project, expert qualifications, etc, and make Department-wide Weighting Unacceptable(0) Acceptable(3) Ideal (5) High Strategic • .. • .. “Short list” Scores for each opportunity Financial • .. • ..
