Exploring Growth Faulting and Depositional Environments of the Pennsylvanian
Join us for a field trip focusing on the geological features of the Pennsylvanian period, with a detailed examination of growth faulting and depositional environments along the railroad cuts at the Brazos River. The trip will start with a presentation by Bob Traylor about the local geology, featuring advanced radar and photorealistic scans of significant railroad cuts. We will also visit the Acme Brick Company facility in Milsap. Note that Union Pacific will have a flagman on site to ensure safety and manage traffic.
