  2. Reasons for learning another language… • You can experience new cultures and meet new people • If you visit a country on holiday, people respect you if you try to speak their language. It also helps if there is a problem or if you get lost • It gives you opportunities in life – to travel, to work, to live abroad… • It is good for your brain. You become better at speaking your own language.

Don’t just nod and say yes • Don’t be embarrassed If you make a mistake it doesn’t matter. Speaking another language is difficult, and you will have good days and bad days.
