based on field mapping SLCR global forest cover USGS http://edc2.usgs.gov/glcc/fao/forest_cover_image.php http://www.geog.umd.edu/carpe/gisthemes.html round, green blob is clear in visible band of Google Earth and in SRTM. But, is not found in any of the 3 vegetation maps. Does this suggests that the vegetation maps are not classifying this region correctly? Google Earth
