  6. 41% = 0.41 ($13)(0.41) = $5.33 $13 + $5.33 = $18.33 Change the % to a decimal. Multiply the amount times the decimal form. Now Add for and INCREASE or Subtract for a DECREASE. You can also work the problem this way.

  8. Change the % to a decimal. Multiply the amount times the decimal form. Now Add for and INCREASE or Subtract for a DECREASE. 52% = 0.52 ($16)(0.52) = $8.32 $16 + $8.32 = $24.32 A store buys blouses for $16 and marks them up by 52% for retail sale. What is the retail price of each blouse?
