Objectives EIRUS Objectives • implement the E-IPQM and E-RQMS measurements • formulate a consensus on change requests to E-IPQM and E-RQMS to preserve uniformity • find best solutions and practices • learn from experiences of other EIRUS members • provide input to system user groups on the issue of quality measurements • promote the knowledge about E-IPQM and E-RQMS

Activities Implementation of measurements • Task of each individual PNO - supplier interface • IPQM metrics during development of the product e.g. - Software System Size - Test Tracking - Milestone Monitoring • RQMS measurements during operation e.g. - System Outage Performance - Problem Reports - Fix Response Time

  13. Activities Phased implementation • Phase 0 : January - June 1996 • 2 RQMS + 3 IPQM • Phase 1 : July 1996 - June 1998 • additional : 9 RQMS + 3 IPQM • Phase 2 : October 1997 - June 1999 • all RQMS, all IPQM

  14. Activities Why a phased approach ? • Learning phase for PNO and suppliers • Start introduction of E-IPQM/E-RQMS quickly by using a small set of measurements • Requested by the suppliers

Conclusions Conclusions • EIRUS is a useful forum to • discuss implementation of quality measurements • learn from and share experiences with other EIRUS members • maintain the interface between PNOs and suppliers • keep uniformity in the measurements • to reduce cost for supplier and thus for PNOs • products with a good quality and at low cost
