Origin of workgroup • 2000 • Phase I testing of foamed bitumen and emulsion- treated material • HVS and initial laboratory test results available towards end of year • 2001 • Late January 2001, Gautrans workshop to disseminate results • Steering committee selected at workshop • Feedback at RPF in May, steering committee becomes an RPF working group (advisory role) • Sabita funding, two additional members invited • Phase II of guidelines managed by AsAc
