Dear Parents, The KES Accelerated Reader committee would like to kick off another great year of reading with our Storybook Character Parade, which will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. Students are invited to dress as a favorite character from a book.

Dear Parents, The KES Accelerated Reader committee would like to kick off another great year of reading with our Storybook Character Parade, which will take place on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 8:30 a.m. Students are invited to dress as a favorite character from a book. To keep the focus on reading and learning, please avoid costumes that are scary or gruesome, and only choose a costume that is appropriate for school. Costumes do not have to be purchased, and in fact, we encourage students to make their own. Students may also decorate a t-shirt or hat. Let your imagination and creativity run wild! Students who wish to participate should come to school on October 2, already dressed.There will not be time to change before the parade. They may wear their costumes all day or change after the parade. Each student must carry the book with his/her chosen character, and they must have the book checked out and ready by Wednesday, October 1! NO LIBRARY CHECKOUTS ON THURSDAY MORNING!!!!!! We are really excited about our parade and even more excited about reading! We hope to see all of you there, to show your support for our students and our school. Sincerely, KES AR Committee
