  1. Scope In India many technologies have been developed in national laboratories / universities, partly for in-house use and partly as requirement of the country. However, many of these have not been exploited by the Indian industry because of the lack of a well defined synergy between the scientific community and the industry.The present theme meeting “Synergy in Physics and Industry” is aimed at bringing together the technologists from the Indian Academia and the Industrialists, to enhance interaction and channelize their strengths towards building a technologically strong India. The topics chosen for this meeting are of utmost relevance to the growing needs of our country and hence a healthy and fruitful outcome is expected from the deliberations. Advisory Committee Ahmad S.
