  3. Absolution

  4. Holy, Holy, Holy. A passage from the Gospel according to Saint Luke (4:38-41), may his blessings be upon us all. Amen. • Jesus left the synagogue and went to the home of Simon. Now Simon's mother-in-law was suffering from a high fever, and they asked Jesus to help her. So He bent over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. She got up at once and began to wait on them. When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying His hands on each one, He healed them. Moreover, demons came out of many people, shouting, ‘‘You are the Son of God!'' But He rebuked them and would not allow them to speak, because they knew He was the Christ. • Glory Be To God Forever, Amen

  15. The Feast of the Ascension

  16. The Feast of the Ascension • Christ took our human nature to transform it from a corrupted one into a heavenly one (to reunite us with the Father) • To remind us that we are pilgrims on the Earth and that one day we also will ascend to the Father. • What are some ways we can remind ourselves that we don’t belong in this world? • How were the saints we talked about before able to remind themselves of that?

  17. Prayer • Dear Jesus, Thank You for taking my sinful nature and blessing it with Your nature that is full of glory and life. Please help me to keep my eyes focused on You always. Help me to love You more than anything or anyone in this world Amen.
