  5. Day-to-day operations summary: Planned / Unplanned Outages of EDS • Planned Outages • Ongoing 6:00 PM – 2:00 AMSecurity and performance testing. During this testing, ERCOT will shut down notifications and the environment may experience periods of unavailability and slow performance. • Unplanned Outages • 01/27/10 10:20 A.M – 10:30 A.M • Service availability to market systems was briefly affected due to synchronization activities. • 01/27/10 - 01/28/10 2:10 PM • Web service notification deliveries were turned off due to an error that occurred updating an MP’s Listener information in the notification services. • Error alerts for listener availability were routed to one Market Participant for a period of time until services were restored. • ERCOT support restored the configuration, verified and released back to the market. http://nodal.ercot.com 5

  8. FAQ • Question: If we are awarded Ancillary Services in Zonal are we required to put them in the COP for Nodal testing? Are we required to follow what we are doing in the Zonal market?Answer: This will be a Market Trial Phase 4 activity which is targeted to begin in April 2010. http://nodal.ercot.com 8

Qualification Update • Qualification Extension • Due to the issue with notifications on Thursday 2/28/2010, ERCOT will be extending the QSE Qualification Period by 3 days • The new deadline to complete QSE Qualification is Wednesday 2/3/2010 • This does not delay the start of Market Trials Phase 3 • QSEs are still expected to submit offer curves or output schedules starting 2/1/2010 • QSEs whose web services are not yet functioning, should plan to submit these over the Market Manager UI • We will start reporting on submissions Wednesday 2/3/2010 • 160 QSEs of 292 have completed MMS submission qualification • 63 / 114 QSEs with resources (including sub-QSEs) • Note that total QSEs have increased due to new registrations http://nodal.ercot.com 14
