2. Objectives of MP-NBITS To support achievement of universal coverage for maternal care and immunization services.
By ensuring information support for the 4 Ws:
Who (to provide service – name)
What (service to provide- eg TT1 dose)
When (date service to be provided)
Where (beneficiary address – village name)
Empower the ANM - information support for activity scheduling, service alerts and monitoring achievements against targets.
3. MP-NBITS Objectives To improve data fidelity of routine data by aggregating from individual beneficiary records and importing into facility database.
In summary, MP-NBITS will support:
Recording: service details & generation of primary registers.
Tracking: beneficiaries over time and facilities
Reporting – individual and aggregated reports for different stakeholders.
4. MP-NBITS: Workflow Supported Registration of new beneficiaries by ANM/Service Provider in state customized formats.
Enrolling beneficiaries in health programs – ANC or immunization.
Recording of services in different program stages
Generation of alerts and activity plans for ANMs
Automatic aggregation of beneficiary data, importing in facility database - no parallel information flow
Aggregated data used for indicator analysis and GIS mapping using DHIS2 Dashboard

Customized to include all State adaptations
Human resources: Operator at every block
7. Distinctive Features: MP Model Clearly defined institutional responsibilities:
District Immunization Officer re-designated as District MCH Officer serve as District Nodal Officer
The Block Medical Officer will be responsible for roll-out, capacity building and utilization of NBITS
Male Supervisors and LHVs with Sector Medical Officer will ensure service provision & data quality.
The ANM will be the pivotal functionary for service delivery as data collection.
District and Block Program Managers will supervise implementation and ensure logistics arrangements.
8. Comprehensive capacity building Orientation of all CMHOs & DPMs in April 2010.
Orientation cum hands on training on demo NBITS for all DPMs and M&E officers in May 2010.
Orientation & hands on training in June on customized NBITS for District & Block level staff (DIO, DPM, DA, BMO, BPM, Computer Operators) in RTCs.
Orientation of ANM, LHV, ASHA and other block level staff on information flow in NBITS in June.
Division level facilitation meetings ongoing – completed by July 10th.
