WORKSHEET FOR GATHERING EVIDENCE FOR MOVIE REVIEW • Complete the worksheet while watching the movie of your choice • Focus on the plot, characters, moods, settings, themes, and character interaction • Your completed worksheet should help you write your movie review. • Before you begin writing your review, an outline of your paper must be completed • Without an outline of your paper… 25 points will be deducted.

Format for Review • Look on the “Writing the Movie Review” Sheet • Follow the order that was given to you in class: introduction, body, and conclusion • Choose three claims out of six that you wish to emphasize about the movie • Introduction: state your overall opinion and briefly mention your claims. YOU MUST HAVE A THESIS SENTENCE! • Body: prove your thesis by focusing on your claims • Conclusion: sum up claims and proof and restate thesis and opinion

  4. Format for Review • Minimum three pages, typed in Arial, using 12 pt. size font • Double- spaced with 1” margins left and right, as well as top and bottom • Numbered pages • Heading: Name, date, and Movie Review #1 in the upper right-hand corner • Title: Name of the movie italicized or underlined
