  2. About Red Wolves • The red wolf’s coat can be cinnamon red, gray or black. It is slightly smaller than the graywolf and weighs around 40 to 80 pounds. • Red wolves only live in a reintroduced population in eastern North Carolina. They are threatened because of hunting.

  3. How many Red Wolves are in the world? • Right now there are approximately only 90 red wolves left in the wild.
