Morocco Child Poverty Study MENA Workshop, June 2008

This workshop report discusses the current state of child poverty in Morocco, a country undergoing significant political, economic, and social changes. Despite attractive investments and political stability, economic growth remains insufficient to effectively tackle poverty and unemployment. Key findings highlight monetary poverty trends and persistent disparities, with alarming statistics on child deprivation. The report outlines the steps taken towards establishing a comprehensive understanding of child poverty, including data collection efforts, challenges faced, and the ongoing work with national partners to enhance policy evaluations.
