Coalition for Intellectual Property Rights (CIPR) • 32 professional and business associations in countries of the Former Soviet Union and Baltic States • 19 rights holders • Official observer at WIPO and ICPIP • Member and industry co-chair of the Interpol Intellectual Property Crime Action Group (IIPCAG) • Partnerships with patent authorities, law enforcement and customs agencies in CIS and Baltic States

SNB–REACT • Founded in 1991 • Main objective is to actively fight counterfeit trade • National units in Netherlands, Italy, Romania, Belgium, United Kingdom, Germany, Portugal and the Baltic States. • General services: • Providing assistance with raids • Investigations • Identification of goods • Ongoing communication with customs and law-enforcement authorities • Legal assistance • Training seminars for enforcement coordinators and authorities • Lobbying to improbe national regulations

  4. CIPR-REACT Joint Project in Latvia • Launched in February 2004 • 157 police raids and customs checks undergone • Prevented infringements on 43 trademarks • Seized counterfeit goods in the project’s first 4 months exceeded total seizures by Customs Board last year
