  2. Tier II – Small Group Intervention • Tier I students identified as struggling • Additional 30 minutes of targeted small group intervention • Students in Tier II are progress monitored every 2 weeks • Tier II small group instruction is aligned with Tier I content and strategies

  3. Connecting Data to Instruction • Gaps in achievement identify gaps in instruction • Data identifies student needs – student needs equal teacher needs • Conduct grade-level data meetings 2-3 times per semester

  4. Connecting Data to Instruction • Expect teachers to use data to inform their instruction • Follow up by observing instruction • Individual meetings concerning students still in Tier II or III and not progressing
