Date of Competition: Saturday, April 14th, 2012 Location: College of the Sequoias 9155 Mooney Blvd. Visalia, Ca 93277 Material Transport Team: We will need parents to help prep and transport event materials and boxes to the competition Cost: See flyer for hotel block reservation. Cost of Trip will be approximately $ 300.00 ( hotel, gas, food )

Thursday, April 12th • Pack event boxes after school – Parents transport boxes / supplies to competition. • Make master schedule for students. • All study guides are in boxes before leaving school on Thursday afternoon. • Students may bring books or field guides separate from boxes down to competition to study.

  4. Friday, April 13thTravel Day Itinerary • 8:30am – Leave School • 12:00pm – Lunch Break • 1:00pm – 2:30pm – Tour campus • 3:00pm – Check – in to Hotel • 5:30pm – Dinner – Adventure Park ( Pizza and Activity Center ) • 7:00pm – Team Meeting • 9:00pm - In Hotel Rooms

  5. April 14thCompetition Day • Be at Olympiad Base Camp at 7:00am. • Set – up Camp. • Attend opening ceremonies – If offered • Compete / Awards ( see Olympiad Schedule ) • Group dinner is desired. BASICALLY THE SAME AS REGIONALS

  6. Preparing for State Championships • Thorough and detailed study guides. • Review missed questions. • Study sessions with partners. • Help with any event that needs additional assistance. • Don’t expect your partner to know everything. Be proactive in your studies.

  7. Our Goal • Work hard and improve or maintain our placements • Use our time effectively • Help support all events • Everyone does their part!!!

  8. Paperwork to be completed by April 12th 1. Driver paperwork for parents driving down to Visalia Friday morning. 2. Field trip form for April 13th travel day. 3. Student permission slip form to compete for the Olympiad. 4. Code of Conduct signed by all attending parents. 5. Code of Conduct signed by all students.
