  28. Cincinnatus statue of Washington. Cincinnatus was a Roman leader who resigned his military leadership as soon as an external threat was quelled. Washington is likened to him because Washington too resigned his post as soon as independence was secured. They are both seen as great leaders due to putting public good above personal ambition.
