  1. What is rape diesel fuel? Rape diesel fuel is a fuel which is produced by using rape or soy plants.

  3. How to produce rape diesel fuel? Rape diesel fuel is produced by interesterification of rape-oil and methanol.

  5. Fats and oils have quite big molecules with a spinal of glycerol on which are bond three fatty acid rests. By the interesterification, the fatty acid rests are solved from the glycerol and each is bond with methanol. The products are glycerol and three molecules of fatty acid methyl ester.

Advantages of Rape diesel fuel • made of growing plants • free of sulphur (< 0.001 %) • lows clearly the emission of soot (up to c. 50 %) • closed CO2 circulation • benzole and other aromatics are not contained • lows the emission of hydrocarbon • easily biodegradable and in case of accident it does not endanger the ground and its water • not a dangerous good • high greasiness and considerates the engine • Environmentally good alternative to mineral diesel fuel

  12. Our comment to : Generally, we think rape diesel fuel is a good alternative to mineral diesel fuel, especially if you have a look on the global situation of our environment.
